The god of time in Gnostic/ ancient Greek traditions. Aion is a lion-headed human with four wings and four arms and reigns over all years and ages. It is depicted standing on a globe encircled by the signs of the Zodiac. He also carries two keys; one gold and one silver. The gold key unlocks the gate of Capricorn and the silver unlocks the gate of Cancer of which beyond lies a realm of eternity.
