Albion - Greek

This was a great Giant born form the sea-god Neptune. With his brother Dercynus they lived in what is now France in the region of Liguria near river Rhone. They were extremely territorial and threatened to kill Hercules when he trespassed on their land. Hercules called upon the god Jupiter who threw rocks from the sky. With this helped Hercules was able to defeat them. The place of this battle became known as “Campus Lapideus” which means ‘Plain of Stones’. The name Albion also refers to a Celtic Giant.
