These were a race of humans in the Ural Mountains and of Scythia. According to Pliny the Elder, They were of normal size and had one single eye in the middle of their foreheads. They lived among the Griffins that were excellent at hoarding gold. The Arimaspi would frequently attack the birds to find and plunder their gold.
