One of the eight horses of the sun which pulled the chariot of the god Helios. Astrope was a pure white horse with large nostrils that issued flames and smoke. By night the horses would graze magical herbs on the Islands of the Blessed and the Nymphs, Horae would tie them to the chariots to pull the sun throughout the day.
