A creature from Greek legend that was half beast, half man which had the ability to breathe fire. When Hercules stole the special cattle from the monster Geryon in one of his tasks, he led the cattle to a cave. The cave was the lair of Caeus who threatened to kill these new trespassers. Hercules fought and defeated the creature.
