Gambrivius is said to be a great king of ancient Germany who invented beer.

Gambrivius who crossed the Zuyder Zee ocean in a ship called 'sea horse' to invade the kingdom of Flanders as he was known to be a very aggressive king. He became a king in Ireland yet still he ruled over the Germans of Bavaria - a tribe named after him called Gambrivii. He went to Egypt and married Isis. Together they invented beer and other drinks created from blackberries in other shrub fruit. A beer was named after him and he brewed it in homeland. He later built a port in north Bavaria and established Hamburg. He is recalled as being the king of the magicians.

Gambrivius is mentioned by several ancient historians and remembered in Irish folklore. He also features in the works of the humanistic French historian Jean Tixier de Ravisey. Jean Tixier aka Textor Ravisius stated that this beer inventing Giant was part of an ancient lineage who eventually became the Teutons and French nobility.
