Gullinborsti is a giant boar covered in golden bristles that pulled the chariot of Freyr across the sky in Norse mythology. He had the ability to travel faster than any horse across water and air. When he flew his golden bristles produced fierce sparks that made him shone against the night sky. Some believe that the Gullinborsti was made entirely out of metal. He was crafted by the Dwarf Brokkr whose name means ‘one who works with fragments’. Gullinborsti was known to be very vicious with a wild temper.
The emblem of Gullinborsti was used by Swedish Kings as a sign of unstoppable progress.
