A cat the size of an ox from Irish myth. It had incredible hearing and heard a poet telling people a satire about cats. This enraged the Irusan who charged to the poet and put him on his back. As he ran away the poet pleaded for help. St. Ciaran heard the cries and drew a red-hot poker and killed the beast as it ran past the monastery.
