Jataya is a giant man-eagle that is the mount of Vishnu and is similar to the Garuda. Jataya was born from Anu and his wife Syeni. Aruna is the brother of Garuda and Syeni is the daughter of Tamra. He has a sibling called Sampati. Bothe began life as two balls of powerful energy. Jataya is also known as the ‘King of Vultures’. Whereas the Garuda has an eagle like head the Jataya has the head of a human. In one of the great adventures of Hindu myth, Jataya is killed by the Demon king Ravana.
