A Sorcerer from the tales of the Lapp people. He lived near a lake and owned a precious amulet known as a sejda. He used the sejda to capture many fish who swam towards his fishing area of the lake. A neighbouring sorcerer saw this and captured the sejda for himself. The fish then moved to the other side of the lake. Lompsalo then created another sejda that was more powerful than the first which could outdo any other magical item. He used this and lured the fish back to his side of the pool. However his rival stole the this sejda and won power over the lake once again.

Interested in more Russian legend? A great cartoon called Dobrynya Nikitich and Zemy Gorynych (2006) is a Russian children's animation with Dragons and other Russian mythical beings. But for those who love Vampires, lets not forget that Eastern Europe is their birth place. No film quite gives the Vampire spooks like Nosferatu (1922). However if you like it modern, Day Watch and Night Watch are interesting Vampire alternatives. Also the fantasy tabletop game Warhammer features an army called Vampire Counts which has been greatly inspired by Eastern European beliefs and culture.
