There is a belief across all cultures that there is a god-like creature who is in fact the Lords and Ladies of Animals. He/ She has many names but his/ her function is to protect all the animals of the world and acts as a communicator between humans and animals. All animals come under his/ her loving care and all anger of creatures is pacified. In Celtic myth it is the god Cerunnos, in the Amazon the Dwarf Desana, in Mesopotamia it is Sakkan, in Hindu it is Parvati, in Asia Minor it is Cybele, in Africa it is the goddess Ko and other gods of his/ her form take the names of Artemis, Diktynna, and Rhea.
