A type of Djinn or evil spirit from pre-Islamic folklore of Yemen and the Hadramut. The Nashnas were born from a human and a Shiqq. They are half-human, half-Djinn having half a visible human body separated vertically having one arm, one leg and half a head. According to the beliefs of the people of the Raij Island in the Chinese Sea, they have bats wings. Others are said to have no head or neck and have their faces on their chests. Although vicious, these creatures were hunted by the Yemen people for their meat.
