A water creature form the beliefs of the people of British Columbia, Canada. It is described as a serpentine horse. The beliefs of this creature derive from the Neugle from the folklore of the Shetland Islands of Scotland and entered into Canada via immigrants during the 18th and 19th centuries. Typical Water Horses from Europe were horses that would abide by lakes or rivers and were very strong. They appeared harmless but if anyone was to ride their back the creature would kill the rider.
