A Dwarf fairy that appears in many tales such as King Arthur, Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and in French and Italian romance stories. He lives by roads and engages in conversation with travellers tempting them to follow him off the track. Those that are foolish enough to do so are lost forever. If the traveller however refuses and remains silent the Oberon will summon rain and hail over the area. A black river will appear trapping the traveller on the road. The river however is a mere illusion, which vanishes when touched. Oberon is said to be the brother of Morgan Le Fay, the son of Julius Caesar and is a King who leads the dying and aged King Arthur to his magical Kingdom to become an heir.
