This was the name of the child of the King and Queen of Armenia from the mythology of that country. The child was first born as a snake that was locked in a secret room. As the years went by, Odz-Manouk transformed into a Dragon. He was never allowed out and refused to eat the food given to him. One day a maiden entered and she was killed and devoured by the Dragon. From that time on the King knew he had to feed a maiden to the royal monster. Eventually the Dragon was so big that the maidens had to be lowered through a hole in the ceiling. This continued until a beautiful girl named Arevhat was sent to be eaten. When she was lowered there was a prolonged and unusual silence. The King peered through the whole and saw that the curse had been uplifted- Odz-Manouk had become a handsome young man again and was seen sitting beside Arevhat. Her kindness had transformed the Dragon and the two later married.
