Sea Serpents
A water based creature which has had many sightings from 1952 to 1975 at the Lake Okanagan and British Colombia, Canada. Some say that it is a serpentine creature with many fins while others state that it is a log with a horse’s head. The Ogopogo gets its name from a fictional Pixie creature that had a human-like body wearing boots with horns on its head a fin and was pictured playing a banjo. This is quite different from the Ogopogo that many believe in.
No recent sightings of this creature had occurred until Richard Huls caught sight of one large ripple in the Okanagan lake. The only explanation for this one ripple breaking the stillness of the water's surface had to be a very very large creature. Some believe it is evidence for the creatures existence.

Perhaps there is some truth in these serpents, Bigfoots, spirits and other creatures of the paranormal. Watch National Geographic's Paranormal: Bigfoot and decide for yourself. And if you're that way inclined with Bigfoot check him out in the horror movie Night of the Demon (1980). Oh but its not Bigfoot but a Fearsome Critter? Well take a look at them in Fearsome Critters by Richard Svensson or watch the Walt Disney film Paul Bunyan (1958) for some lumberjack folklore. Other contemporary mythical animals appear in the video game Red Dead Redemption: Undead Zombie Nightmare.
