These were spirits of the mountains from ancient Greek belief. These were men with the legs and heads of goats. They had bushy tails and bushy beards. They are shown on Greek vases and artwork as males with an erection. Their name translates to ‘All Rustics’. They are the sons of Hermes, Zeus or Pan.
