A terrifying creature from the beliefs of the Malay people of West Malaysia. The Pontianak has a flying human head with its entrails dangling from its neck. It would fly out from the forests and into houses. It would suck the blood of sleeping babies and infants leaving them weakened. Those that had been bitten by a Pontianak would soon die.
