One of the guardian creatures that keeps watch over the intestines of a deceased Pharaoh of ancient Egypt. He had the head of a hawk and was told by Horus to revive the deceased after his struggle so that the deceased can attain the afterlife. His name means ‘the one who cools his brother.’
