From the folklore of the North American lumberjacks, this was an aggressive creature covered in dense fur. It was long and thin and would sleep with its body wound round a trunk of a tree. This made it looks like a fur coat attached to a tree. When a lumberjack tried to lift what they thought was a coat, the Rumptifusel would awake and consume him.
