The Japanese name for the Vermillion Bird. Suzaku is one of the four constellation creatures. It represents the fire element in Toaism, the summer and the south. Its wings are the many shades of orange and read. It is a very eloquent bird and is very fussy in what it eats and where it decides to perch itself. The other three creatures of the constellations are White Tiger, Azure Dragon and Black Tortoise.

Also known as Jujak in Korea, Chu Turoc in Vietnam, Vermillion Bird.
