A horrifying guardian that stands at the gates of hell in Greek and Roman myth. Her name means ‘Retaliation’ and many fear her punishments. She is a snake-haired woman who wears a bloodied dress and is one of the Furies. She causes great pain and suffering on those who have committed crimes or done wrong in life. She is especially vicious to those criminals who have escaped the human law.
