A singing log from the beliefs of the Maori people of New Zealand. Some say that the Tuatau is a Tipua, an animate object that is brought to life. Others say that the Tuatau is a fairy. The log was placed in a lake by a lady and existed for a long time float around and partially stopping when sighted. It would whistle songs to itself.
