A type of Thunderbird from the myths of the Dakota people of North America. They are birds of enormous size and are protectors of the four cardinal directions. The Wakinyan have four types; those that are blue-feathered and have no eyes or ears, those that are yellow and have no beaks, those that have bright red feathers and those that have black-feathers and have huge beaks.
