The Archangel of freedom, forgiveness and mercy. His name translates as ‘The Righteousness of God’. He is coloured purple and he is one of the standard bearers the other being Jophiel holding up gods flag alongside Michael whenever they march to battle. He is the commander of the Archangel Gabriel as well as ruler of the Hashmallim order and co-commander of the Shinanim order in Rabbinic scriptures. He features in ancient magic where people would call on him for spells of mercy. They direct their magic at a person of their choice who has a vengeful heart. That person is touched by the Archangel who then lets go of their grudge.
